Why Wenger should buy for the sake of Fabregas and Nasri

Nasri has just been voted as the French Player of the year. An outstanding achievement when you consider that former winners include Platini, Zidane, Henry , Thuram, Ribery and Vieira.

Nasri is in the form of his life. He is only 23 and he will get better. He could well go and take the mantle of Zidane as he was once tipped when he first appeared as a teenager for Marseille.

But if you look at this team, there are several outstanding players. You have a recent World Cup winner who is targeted by Barcelona. Fabregas is also a 23 year old with his whole career ahead of him.

When you consider the likes of Chamakh, van Persie, Wilshere, Song and Sagna , you have to admit that Wenger has indeed managed to rebuild an outstanding team.

They deserve trophies. This team is still young and there is genuine talent around. Wenger should use the opportunity of the January transfer window to add to a squad that is only two players short of winning the title.

For the sake of young world class players like Nasri and Fabregas, this team should be remembered for winning trophies. Just as the likes of Vieira, Henry, Wright or Adams won trophies in their career, Nasri and Fabregas should not go through their Arsenal careers without winning silverware.

For this reason, Wenger should change his approach in the January transfer window and buy experienced and quality professionals that will genuinely improve the team this season.
