The UK media rewrites Arsenal's qualification
I have been reading various articles from independent sources (i.e. non Arsenal websites)  and the negative media spin is unbelievable.

From The Telegraph to The Guardian, the media’s consensus was that it was a very nervous performance that showed our weaknesses again.

The BBC had for headline last night “ Nervy Arsenal scrapes through”. The Independent had virtually the same headline.

I am sorry, what?

Scrape through? Did we not win the game 3-1 with plenty of chances to increase the score with ten minutes to go ?

Nervy?  I thought we were comfortable bar a period of ten minutes at the beginning of the second half.

Since when does ten minutes count as an account of a full game anyway ?

Does Chelsea or Man Utd or the Spurs of Harry (the new media darling) not have teams score against them and still go on to win ?

I  have watched how Hansen drooled over Man Utd’s comeback against Villa a few weeks ago. He was praising their team spirit and their character despite the evidence that Villa battered them for 85 minutes. Valencia dominated Man Utd on Tuesday but there was no real negativity by the BBC despite the way Man Utd is playing this season.

Has there been a team ever top of the league and yet be so criticised? If the top team is so bad,  it must tell you something about the self-styled “best league in the world”.

The negative media spin on Arsenal is absolutely disgraceful - sometimes I wonder why they should not just come out and say “we do not like Arsenal because they have foreigners and a foreign manager”.
