Arsenal's quiet British revolution goes unnoticed
A couple of years ago, there was not a game when pathetic pundits like Adrian Durham or Alan Hansen would not blast Wenger for not fielding enough English players.

In fact, the media was a huge contributor in enraging fans of rival clubs making every away game that Arsenal play a sort of “England versus a foreign club” clash.

Quietly though , the club was promoting a few English youngsters through the ranks and you could see it last night when we had SIX English players involved.

The media has remained suspiciously silent as Gibbs, Wilshere, Walcott, Emmanuel-Thomas and Eastmond played whereas keeper James Shea was on the bench.

It is to be pointed out that Welshman Ramsey and Lansbury were out on loan and would definitely have been involved had they been at the club.

Those pundits who so mercilessly attacked Wenger for not selecting English players should be ashamed for not mentioning our SIX English players last night but I guess we cannot expect fairness from such ignorant bigots.
