97 goals in six seasons, Brazilian, and relatively cheap - it's just what Liverpool need, isn't it? Vagner Love, the CSKA Moscow striker is being linked with Liverpool after Roy Hodgson hinted at several new signings to improve his struggling squad.
Hodgson is in particular in the market for an out and out striker, of real quality, to partner Fernando Torres up front. Torres has been going through a quite long difficult period recently in which he has been way off form, and a top quality striker, such as Love, who can support him would be welcomed by the Spanish star.
Reports vary as to how much Hodgson will have to spend in the upcoming January transfer window, but it is thought hat the new owners will give the former Fulham manager around £35 million to spend. It is also thought, that Vagner Love would leave the Russian club for a fee in the region of £10 million, however, predictions differ.
The player, who is distinguished by is colourful braids, has played 20 times for his nation, and scored 4 goals, while scoring a career club total of 154 in 269 games. Evidently, he has no lack of experience, and would add his footballing knowledge to Liverpool, who seem to be using more and more younger players like Jonjo Shelvey and Jay Spearing.
In the current situation of the club, Liverpool would welcome any decent players into their team, especially if they offer someting attacking, and different. Vagner Love does that.
