Criticism of Arsene over the top

I am astounded to see the number of Arsenal fans over-reacting to the Spurs defeat on Saturday.

As painful as it was, some perspective is needed as to how our season is going so far.

If you told me before August that we will be two points behind Chelsea at the end of November, I would have bitten your arm off. All this despite already playing Chelsea, City, Liverpool and Everton away.

The defeat and the manner of it has hurt Arsenal fans all over the globe.

But the fact that we are just two points behind Chelsea and Man Utd should show you that this league is a lot more competitive than ever.

Chelsea has lost 3 out of their last four games , including a hammering by Sunderland at home last week.

Man Utd has drawn seven times out of 14 games this season.

We are ahead of Man City which has spent  £300 m over the past two seasons.

We are well ahead of Liverpool and four points ahead of "title-chasing" Spurs whether you believe it or not.

Whichever you look at it , we are still there with a shout and I think the criticism of Arsene and the players have been well over the top.
