Ferguson trying to inflame tackling issue again
Alex Ferguson seems to have cosied up a lot to the boss recently but this is perhaps due to the fact that he not seen us as a real threat to the title lately.
However, Ferguson remains a clever old warrior and he is trying to reignite the tacking campaign against Wenger.
A media assault on Wenger has taken place this season to give the impression that Arsene is against tackling.
Of course, idiots like Allardyce, Pulis, Coyle and the Wolves CEO have all chipped in to get their moment of fame in the press.
Arsene is against tackling they chant. They are aided and abetted by ridiculous football pundits like Durham, Savage, Collymore and Hansen.
However, Arsene Wenger has never said anything against tackling. In fact he has has said that he loves the physical nature of the game. What he talked against was leg-breaking fouls and we all know that he is right there.
Enter Ferguson who comes in to say that Wenger has "now learned that tackling can be made against his players." In a rather patronising tone, he says that Wenger thought other clubs could not tackle his players but has now "changed". By saying this , Ferguson knows that Wenger will again be accused of speaking against tackles and put his own players like Fabregas and Wilshere under the spotlight for every foul they commit.
But for me it proves something more important. Ferguson is now trying to play "mind-games" again and this can only mean that Arsenal are truly in a title-race this season !
