Szczesny 6 Not much to do to be fair. His good positioning denied Scotland and I also like the way he is quick off his line to help the defence.

Clichy 6 Quiet but solid display from a man who is really getting back to form. Did more to stick to his defensive duties and did not let anything trouble him.

Djourou 7 Strong and composed throughout. Ipswich could never trouble our defence with him around.

Koscielny 7.5 Proving his worth and do not forget that this is his first season in the Premier League. A top-class header won the game for us- do not listen to the idiot Mark Bright telling everybody how the Ipswich defence gave him an easy chance. Also had a fine game in defence.

Eboue 5.5 Losing someone of Sagna’s class was always going to affect us as I think he would have destroyed Ipswich - Sagna tormented Leeds in the replay. I think Eboue was guilty of overplaying and caught out of position a few times too.

Denilson 6 Looked ordinary again against Championship opposition- I was expecting better in his fourth game in the cup ties. Lost the ball many times in the first half. Improved after the break and won the ball in midfield that led to the third goal.

Fabregas 8 Inspiring again despite a few mistakes early in the second half. Gave a true captain’s performance in the last half and hour and his goal sealed the tie. Pathetic pundits Bright and Hansen kept on moaning for a penalty that was not given ( was I the only one who thought that the Ipswich defender put his hand on him? ) but they cannot fully appreciate how lucky the Premier League is to have such a world-class player on board..

Wilshere 8 Impressive as I thought he was our best player in the first half. Was always in action and a delightful lob nearly set up Fabregas for what would have been a great goal.  Look determined to get a goal in the second half and I think goals will soon come for him.

Arshavin 5.5 Lacks confidence at the moment. A bright start was soon marred by misplaced passes and untimely runs. To his credit, he is trying hard and a good run made the Fabregas goal.

Bendtner 7.5 Great goal to liberate Gunners everywhere. Seems to be cool when the pressure is on and his control and touch for the goal was sensational. Other than that, he did some good work on the right wing and was also moved on the left in the second half. A great cross led to van Persie heading the cross bar.

van Persie 7 Very good display again and linked up extremely well with the midfield. Superb header in the first half deserved a goal and I am so happy  to see him back to form.
