You are aware that the script for any game we play must include the standard phrase "Arsenal have not won a trophy since five years". Yesterday I decided to count the number of times this gets mentioned by the heavily anti-Arsenal BBC crew.
I was expecting to be mentioned three times (once before, once during and once after) but I could not believe it being said 4 times before the game, 2 times in the first half, 2 times at half time, 3 times in the second half and 3 times after the game.
As if we are the only club in the league not to have ever won a cup in five years, the BBC kept on bombing their old tune during the game last night and the whole set look deflated after Arsenal went 2-0 up.
Here is a reminder to those "journalists" at the BBC of major clubs which have not won a trophy for five years or more. I have listed them in order of fan base, honours and global standing:
Liverpool: 5 years (last league won twenty years ago)
Spurs: 3 years - (last won the league fifty years ago)
Aston Villa: 14 years
Manchester City: 35 years
Everton: 16 years
Newcastle: 46 years
Sunderland: 38 years
West Ham: 31 years
So there you go. Why is Arsenal’s trophy haul the only one mentioned? Why are the BBC so anti-Arsenal? Are they desperately trying to get the Arsenal fans on the back of French manager Arsene Wenger?
What else will they invent if we do win the Carling Cup ?
