A thoroughly convincing display by Arsenal today.

While all media outlets reports it was a very strong Arsenal side, let us remember that none of the starting eleven can be classified as our first choice line-up.

RATINGS

Szczesny 8 Simply an outstanding keeping display. No nerves, commanding in the box and extremely confident on crosses. Made a number of stunning saves too. After what I have seen from Almunia and Fabianski over the past 3 years, I have no doubt at all that this chap is the best keeper at this club by a country mile.

Eboue 6.5 Good performance from the Ivorian who has been putting a number of solid displays this season. Defended well and made a number of mazy runs forward.

Djourou 6.5 Another promising display who is enjoying his longest spell in the first team. He made a number of crucial blocks in the second half and he is looking like a good defender.

Koscielny 7 Outstanding in the first half where he made a goal saving block from Ranger. He stayed on his feet while most defenders would have been tempted to tackle and cause a penalty/red card.

Sagna 6 Was not at his best but was probably not expecting to be thrust into action this early. But he is still very competent whenever he plays.

Vela 6 I was looking forward to see Lansbury getting a run as Vela has been very frustrating as an Arsenal player. He linked up well a few times but is more miss than hit for me.

Rosicky 7 Intelligent display from the Little Mozard although he did not have a lot of help from his midfield partners in the first half.

Eastmond 6 Is a hard worker but loses the ball too often for my liking. Is a player who is well rated by Wenger but I do not know if he will feature heavily outside the Carling Cup.

Denilson 6.5 Covered well for Eastmond in the 1st half and contributed in the attacking displays. Seemed a lot happier when Fabregas was on the pitch.

Walcott 7.5 Took both his goals extremely well and showed his pace several times. Still need to work on his crossing and delivering the final ball.

Bendtner 7.5 Top display from the Great Dane capped by a sensational goal.
