Fabianski 8.5 His best performance in Arsenal shirt yet. Most fans found it difficult to believe Arsene's claims of a few weeks ago that he was world class but what a game did he have. Made a number of brilliant saves including one in the first minute ( now that would HAVE changed the game). Excellent and commanding throughout.

Sagna 7.5 Great performance again from Mr Consistent. Good at going forwards and an excellent defender too, he really put in a great shift this afternoon. Could even have scored a goal late on.

Djourou 6.5 Struggled early on and looked vulnerable at times but improved as the game went on. He is obviously a great athlete and if he can stay fit , he is a very good prospect.

Squillaci 6 Went about his job quietly but the fact that Djourou was exposed a few times could be down to him being slow in reacting. Hope he improves as the season goes on.


Clichy 7.5 The Clichy of old is returning gradually and he put in a professional display today. Covered well for the centre backs too and was good going forward.

Fabregas 9 Simply instrumental. Everything went through him and he showed us what we have been missing while he has been out injured. Only a missed penalty denies him a perfect 10.


Denilson 7 Tireless contribution from the Brazilian who covered a lot of ground. However he also gave away the ball a few times and you can see why Wilshere has already moved ahead of him in the pecking order.

Song 9 Powerful and complete performance. Strong in the tackle and great at going in the box. What a player this man is turning out to be. Broke so many of their attacks and scored a cracking goal too.


Arshavin 6.5 Did not have it all his way against a very physical Man City side but his flick on made the great goal scored by Nasri. Wenger said that his stats should be considered before judging him and I completely agree.

Nasri 8.5 Brilliant yet again. Nasri is definitely one of our best players and is improving by the game. A tenacious player too and he scored an outstanding goal.

Chamakh 6 A real-hard worker up front who gives 100% for his team. I am a great admirer of him although he could have finished better today.
