Listen to Wenger this time, Psycho !
If the mark of intelligence is judged by not making the same mistake twice, then I am afraid to report that Stuart Pearce is failing miserably.

Not happy with slowing the progression of Theo Walcott in the 2009-10 season, Psycho wants to call our young Jack Wilshere in the European U-21 Championship.

This is despite Fabio Capello already saying that Wilshere is now one of the first names in the senior squad.

Psycho Pearce uses two moronic arguments to back his claim:

1) He had played 250 games when he himself was 21 and is therefore advising every young player to follow his lead.

2) Walcott did not even go to the World Cup 2010 so there was no burn out issue he claims.

He makes no mention that for moronic point 1 that he started football FOUR decades ago and that the game has changed a fair bit since then. No mention also that the bulk of these 250 games were with Wealdstone FC, a non-league side where he was a part-time footballer while also working as an electrician.

As for moronic point 2, does Psycho realise that the reason that Walcott did not go to the World Cup 2010 was because that his selection in the U-21 Championships wrecked his season as he did not get a proper rest and he suffered a number of injuries that season?

Psycho also shows his lack of class by going public on an issue that I can imagine is being dealt behind the scenes by Arsenal and the England coaching team.

Before Psycho says that we should listen to him as he has played over 1000 games, may be we should remind him that Wenger has MANAGED over 1000 games and knows a thing or two about developing young players?
