It seems many fans are happy with the "more of the same" approach likely to be taken by Kroenke.
It might be the same transfer policy but what is the point of that exactly?
What is the point of selling out the most traditional club in English history to foreign ownership just for the sake of more of the same?
Let us get this clear : I do not have an anti-Kroenke agenda nor a pro-Usmanov one.
But my opinion has always been that foreign take-overs should be like the ones at Chelsea, Manchester City, Fulham or QPR.
Why ? Because if you are selling out, at least it should represent a revolution for the club, a huge transfer chest and improved training ground facilities.
I never understood the point of the take-overs at Aston Villa, Liverpool or Manchester United.
It seems the owners are just happy to take a step back and let the club run as it is while they take huge profits out of the club every year.
United are only successful because of one man - Sir Alex Ferguson. Had he not been there, they would have been in a crisis and witness how the Crisitiano Ronaldo money was never re-invested in the transfer budget.
Just contrast it with their neigbours Manchester City, who were spending most of the past twenty years being a yo-yo club but are now suddenly attracting the biggest talents in world football.
As for Chelsea, they were in the Second Division as recently as in 1989. Abrahamovic´s money has established them as a major force in world football.
Usmanov would have been such an owner. He would have transformed the club, offer a big transfer budget and bring back David Dein as Chairman.
Dein is a genuine football man with considerable clout in the media and the FA. Dein worked well with Wenger, who had his best years with the powerful Vice-Chairman at his side.
I am not convinced at all with Gazidis´ influence over the past three years. He also seems to be a silent Chief Executive, happy to sit back with his big fat salary.
Let us see what Kroenke has in plans for the summer. But my feeling is not much.
More of the same, with a silent Chief Executive and enjoying huge dividends as part of our establishment as a profit-making corporation.

But what exactly is the point of all that ?
