Why this was a good day for us
It seems that most Arsenal fans see yesterday as an humiliation for the club. The media certainly feel that this proves that we do not have the "character" to win the league.

But I disagree. This was actually a good day for us.

It could easily have been 7-0 at half time and we were playing away from home at a very passionate ground.

There is not a team in Premier League who could have given such a football demonstration in the first thirty minutes of the game.

For me this game meant nothing after Barton & Nolan were not sent off and two non-penalties were given within 15 minutes. You have days like that when the ref is against you.

However, we played with TEN men for nearly the whole of second half and still DID NOT LOSE.

We are now one point closer to United. Not only did they lose but it was against BOTTOM side Wolves.

This is a huge defeat for Man Utd. Wolves proved that this side is actually very beatable. This was a very meek surrender not like the end of our unbeaten run at Old Trafford, littered with ref controversies.

The longer United went unbeaten the bigger the belief would have been.

And they will rightly NOT match our Invincibles of 2004.

It would have been a travesty to football history if this United (one of the most ordinary United sides I have seen over a decade) matched the glorious free-flowing side of Pires, Vieira, Henry and Bergkamp.

United now face Manchester City next week. Expect City to be fired up and another defeat could well derail United altogether. Not a bad day at all.
