Fabianski 6 Not much to do in the face of negative and boring City tactics but I do like the way he mops up in his area.
Sagna 7.5 Harshly sent off for a bit of handbags really. Will probably get the same three match ban as his attacker Lee Bowyer on Saturday. Other than that it was a sturdy display from the full-back who offered plenty going forward.
Koscielny 7 Calm and composed - he gave nothing away. He will take heart with the way he dealt with Tevez and look pretty decent with his feet too.
Djourou 7 Solid again and he really forms a good partnership with Koscielny. Now it is time for him to build on his fitness as he could well prove to be a defender of some quality for this club.
Clichy 8 The Clichy of old and the Clichy we used to love. He has really been getting back to form lately and today was a vibrant display from the left-back. He was so often in the attacking part of the pitch and dealt with Johnson well when the latter was introduced.
Nasri 7.5 Threatened from all areas of the pitch as he switched position a few times on the night. Led the game very well and links up excellently with Fabregas. Shame they could not conjure up a goal but was well marshalled by the City defence.
Song 8.5 Great at what he does - breaking up City’s threat and pushed Yaya Toure back a lot. Excellent dribbling ability at times especially at the very end. It proves that he is being groomed to become the complete player by Wenger and he is beginning to look like it.
Wilshere 7 Excellent in the first half where he was very much like a young Cesc in our build-up play. Faded in the second half and we will have a world class player on our hands once he improves his decision making in the final third of the pitch.
Fabregas 8 Inspired in midfield and set up most of our attacks. Offered Walcott some great opportunities and made the team click for the whole 90 minutes.
Walcott 7 Great speed and a lot of our chances fell to him which shows he was a willing contributor in the game. But his final touch also let him down many times and sometimes take too long when needing to decide whether to shoot or pass.
van Persie 8.5 Tremendous and should have ended up with a goal. Looks like Robin is back and I missed his superb shooting technique from distance. Would have ended with a couple of goals had Joe Hart not made a couple of stunning saves. Easily his best game of the season and the future looks bright as he is still our best forward when on form.
