After former manager Parkinson tipped Rowley about Jenkinson , it is now the turn of current Charlton manager Chris Powell to speak highly of him.
He says that Jenkinson is "a fantastic talent".

“Of course I would have liked him to sign because I’m sure everyone knows I’ve identified him as a player that could play a part in our team , which he had done."

Powell talks of his sadness of seeing Jenkinson deciding to leave Charlton but he maintains that a deal with Arsenal is not entirely concluded yet.
Reports have emerged over the last few hours that Arsenal have offered £1m in compensation for him, while Charlton are obviously trying to hold on for a higher figure, believed to be closer to £2m.
